Slain

Another tree cut to feed the hungry humans? Well, call it an abstract description of a man murdered for others' needs. I'm connected to nature, so any such incident of deforestation really does hurt me.

Pink....!!!

Pink....!!! Do I need say more?

Its Bougainvillia flowers. The actual flower of the plant is small and generally white, but each cluster of three flowers is surrounded by three or six bracts with the bright colors associated with the plant, pink in this case. This plant is visible everywhere in Rajasthan and I love it, especially because of its colourful ornamental appearance. It somehow resembles Rajasthan- Thorny, yet so colourfully beautiful.

The Weeping Synchrony

Its a chance click!!! I was aiming for the pigeons generally, and clicked this one, not knowing that the synchronized movement of their wings would be captured so beautifully. I got excited when I saw the pic... The perfect synchronization, denoting the most imperfect expression- Sadness!

Well, the tag has not been kept by me, but by my sis who suggested me this title, and it was so apt that I could not resist keeping it.

Attitude

Look at the snap! What comes to your mind? Stairs going up, or coming down? Well, that is it... Your attitude! Earlier I thought of keeping it Past, Present & Future, but then thought more like this tag. What do you think?

The place is Old Pushkar, recently reconstructed Ghats, taken from a distance to get the full view.

Where Next?

Where Next? With the amount of growth in population, sustenance is an issue. Its an abstract to denote what I Want to convey.

This snap has been clicked from Mehrangarh, the magnificent Fort of Jodhpur, sprawled across 1125 metres high Pachetiya Hill. From the top, it can be noticed that majority of the houses in the old city area are painted in blue. These blue houses belong to the Hindu Brahmin Caste of Jodhpur. The blue houses are an outcome of the extent of caste led beliefs that dominate the Indian psyche. Brahmins housed themselves in these blue homes to differentiate themselves from the members of other casts and belief systems in the past- A tradition that, despite the slow weakening of the caste system, has remained.

P.S- Do not make up your mind about Jodhpur from this snap. The city is not so conjusted as it seems here.

Pushkar

Pushkar- a small town in Ajmer (Rajasthan). Pushkar means born due to a flower. In Hindu mythology it is said that the Gods released a swan with a lotus in its beak and let it fall on earth where Brahma would perform a grand yagna. The place where the lotus fell was called Pushkar. It is one of the five sacred dhams, and has in recent years become a popular destination for foreign tourists. Pushkar lies on the shore of Pushkar Lake, and well, it is a beautiful site.

This pic has been clicked from Sunset Point (those who've been to Pushkar definitely know this place, and for those who haven't been to, you're missing something!). Pushkar Lake is surrounded by 52 bathing ghats, I donno how many could I capture here. I really had to zoom out the lens to 18 mm before I could click this wide angled pic. The place has its own aesthetic sense which really attracts everyone. Visit it for once at least!!

Skin

Its the trunk of a Guava Tree. Unlike other common tree trunks, this one's very colourful as would be evident in the pic, and that is what attracted me to click it. I titled it Skin because the covering layers of the trunk were giving way for the new ones... something similar to the skin.

When a friend of mine saw this pic, she told me that she could find images matching various creatures in here. I laughed at her, but later, sat myself to do the same. Find them all...!!! Now, I won't mention here what all I identified, but if you do, please let me know.

Catwalk

Its a Peacock! Somehow his wings have been cut by greedy people who later sell them to all the superstitious population around the country. I was walking through my new home in Ajmer, Rajasthan, when I saw him on the boundary wall, walking! It took me time to click this guy, because peacocks are very scared of humans, and not to forget I was trying to be over-pally with him (less than 6 feet distant), so he'd run away everytime I raised my Nikon. Finally, when he was walking slowly upon the ramp, modelling, I got the opportunity to click him.

Employed?

Employed? Well that's the question these days... And even if you got a job in your hands, is it paying you well, are you satisfied, work environment, etc. etc. etc. So I found this pic apt to reflect the inner feelings of us all.

I was in Ajmer, at my new home when this ox-cart came carrying some cement. While taking the pic I was amazed the way he kept staring at me, as if posing for the snap. Quite cooperative I must mention...

Hidden

It was a torture to capture this one. I was on a bus to Delhi, when it stopped in the middle of the night at Midway Behrod (130 kms from Delhi). I went down to get some steamy coffee when I saw this one. It was foggy, and the street light behind this tree could barely be seen, not to forget that temperatures running at 3°C are not the most friendly for photography. My hands were shaking and the VR feature of a digicam's not good enough. Anyways, the tag is self explainatory I guess.
